  13.  
  14. 1.That the Federal Rules of Evidence for the United States
  15. District Courts be, and they hereby are, amended by including
  16. therein amendments to Evidence Rules 101, 705, and 1101.
  17.

  20. 2.That the foregoing amendments to the Federal Rules of
  21. Evidence shall take effect on December 1, 1993, and shall govern in
  22. all proceedings thereafter commenced and, insofar as just and
  23. practicable, all proceedings then pending.

  25. 3.That THE CHIEF JUSTICE be, and he hereby is, authorized
  26. to transmit to the Congress the foregoing amendments to the Federal
  27. Rules of Evidence in accordance with the provisions of Section 2072
  28. of Title 28, United States Code.
